Victorian 18k/Sterling Silver No Heat Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Ring
A gorgeous sapphire and diamond halo ring from the Victorian (ca1890) era! This beautiful 18kt gold ring features a large natural Ceylon sapphire cabochon framed at the center of a sparkling diamond border. The beautiful no-heat sapphire is bezel set and weighs approximately 16.50ctw, displaying incredible pale blue hues that catch the light with every turn in its open back setting. Encircling the sapphire is a single row of sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds collectively weighing approximately 2.00ctw and display H-L range color and VS-SI range clarity. The prongs that hold each diamond create a gorgeous scalloped wirework design below the centerpiece and a polished gold band graduates towards the back. Accompanying the ring is a certification (report #5784-0885) from a British company, Gemmological Certification Services, verifying the center stone as a natural sapphire originating in Ceylon with no indications of heating.
