An absolutely exquisite emerald and diamond ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1905s) era! This wonderful piece, which is French in origin, is crafted in rich 18kt yellow gold and displays an incredible emerald cabochon at its center. The elongated emerald, which is particularly substantial in size, weighs approximately 6.50ct and rests within a milgrained bezel setting. A wide, curved gold frame encircles the luscious stone, beautifully accented by 14 old Mine Cut diamonds and 8 old Rose Cut accent stones. The larger diamonds are individually set in sterling silver clawed collet settings, creating a subtle mixed metals appeal, and collectively, the overall diamond weight of the ring is approximately 1.50ctw. The outer border is lined with a fine scalloped edge, each petal adorned with deep blue enameling. The large curved centerpiece rests on a wide gold band which is detailed with an engraved floral motif at either shoulder. The band is stamped with the French mixed gold and silver hallmark (introduced in 1905) of the opposed boar and eagle heads. It's an incredible emerald and a stunning ring and the piece would make an exquisite addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5 but could easily be re-sized if desired. The face of the ring measures approximately 1 1/8” tall, 3/4" wide, and 3/8" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or emerald and all of the stones are intact. There is minimal wear to some of the enameling, none of which detracts from the overall beauty of the piece.
