An unusual fob from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful fob is made of sterling silver and portrays a 3-dimensional dog head, which rests atop a silver platform. At the base of the fob is a richly colored carnelian stone, which is smoothly polished into an octagonal shaped seal. The dog is highly detailed, including expressive facial features, a muzzle strapped around around its face, textured fur, and two red cabochon stones for eyes. The silver has a darkened antiqued look, adding depth to the design. At the top of the piece is a silver jump ring, perfect for hanging from a favorite chain.
