
Victorian 14kt Equestrian Horse Leg + Bloodstone Seal Fob Pendant
An unusual horse leg fob pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This unique 14kt gold piece forms the shape of a 3-dimensional horse's leg in mid-trot. The design is is highly detailed, including a horseshoe on the base of the hoof, and subtle texture representing its fine, smooth hair. The top of the horse leg holds a smooth, bezel set bloodstone seal, which displays a beautiful forest green color flecked with orange specks. At the horse's knee is a gold loop and bail, allowing it to hang on a tilt. Measurements: The fob hangs approximately 1 1/4" long (including the bail). The bent horse leg itself measures approximately 1 1/4" long (from the hoof to the top of the leg), and is 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the fob is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or bloodstone seal, and the ring for hanging is secure and intact.
