An absolutely incredible carved necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This exceptional piece features three cameo links that dangle from a fine 14kt gold chain. The cameos are intricately hand-carved from natural coral, displaying a wonderful salmon color with subtle shades of white. Each cameo face comes to live with incredible 3-dimensional detail, including sculpted facial features, blooming flowers across the forehead, and swirled flourishes throughout. A gold framework can be found on the back of each link, where the coral is securely riveted in place. The cameos hang from drop extensions in a festoon fashion, draping beautifully at the neckline when worn.
